BAFTA Awards 2013: Best Dressed Ladies

February 12, 2013

The Grammy’s weren’t the only awards show held on Sunday night. Every year, while the biggest names in the music industry head to Los Angeles, the who’s who of Hollywood head to London for the BAFTA awards. Despite the horrible rainy weather, the stars still took to the red carpet to show off their couture gowns. Here is my selection of the best dressed ladies.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence wore a beautiful Dior gown and still managed to look stunning even after her dress got soaked on the red carpet.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain looked amazing in this gorgeous blue Roland Mouret gown that really highlighted her flame-red hair. I haven’t really been a fan of Jessica’s looks on the red carpet this award season but I think this dress was perfect for her.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner was on hand to support husband Ben Affleck, who was one of the big winners on the night. I think Jennifer looks amazing and I included two pictures of this dress because it is the back of this origami-style Roland Mouret gown that I really love.

Marion Cotillard

ImageMarion Cotillard made sure she stood out on the red carpet in this Canary Yellow Christian Dior Couture gown. This peek-a-boo dress with see through mesh panels is a similar design to that worn by Jennifer Lawrence to the Golden Globes. I think the colour is fab on her.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway looked absolutely incredible in this studded Burberry gown as she picked up yet another award for best supporting actress.

Amy Adams

Like Anne, Amy Adams also opted for a black gown. This lace detail Elie Saab gown is stunning but then again we wouldn’t anything less from the designer.

Sarah Jessica Parker

While Beyonce was rocking a jumpsuit on LA, Sarah Jessica Parker was showing us how it’s done on this side of the pond. SJP went against the grain in this gorgeous black Elie Saab jumpsuit that has received mixed reviews, but I love it. I love when someone steps out of the box and takes a risk and I think this one definitely paid off! LOVE IT!

Laura Whitmore

She may not be Hollywood royalty but Laura Whitmore certainly looked like she belonged on the red carpet in this daring plunge neck jumpsuit by Alexandre Vauthier. Like SJP, she took a risk and it totally paid off.

What did you think of the BAFTA’s style? Let me know.

Lorna. 🙂 xx
