Irish Fashion Gold Tip Collar 1

Hey guys,

Happy Wednesday! We’re more than half way through the week already and half way through July… isn’t summer flying by? Today’s look is one I wore in London last week (you might have seen it on my Instagram and Facebook?). Unfortunately I didn’t have anyone to take outfit pics while out and about in London so I waited until I got home to get some snaps. This shirt dress is by Ted Baker and although it looks really simple, there are so many amazing little details that make it a really great timeless piece. Firstly, I love that the dress is navy and not black. Sometimes I think black is just too harsh for summer, so navy is a great alternative. Honestly though, the first thing I was really drawn to is the fab gold tip collar. It makes a real statement and adds such interesting detail to the dress. I also love the chiffon material, especially how it overlaps at an angle so it isn’t just a plain clean swoop of material. My shoes are brand new and I got them while I was in London. I actually bought about five pairs of flats (most of them are from Primark so they were cheap as chips) but the ones I wore really cut my feet so I ended up buying these to relieve the pain. I’m kinda secretly happy the other shoes cut me otherwise I would never have bought these. 🙂 My MK bag added a lovely pop of summery colour and I completed the look with some statement pieces of jewellery.

I hope you like it,

Irish Fashion Lorna

p.s. I finally got round to selecting the winner of my Giveaway. The winner is… Alana Bennett! Be sure to keep an eye on your emails over the next few days for your voucher. Happy shopping!! 🙂

[…] I had an amazing summer at home in Ireland. I was finally able to attend events I was being invited to through my blog and started meeting lots of new people. June in particular was an brilliant month for so many reasons. Firstly, the weather in Ireland was amazing, which always makes me SOOOO happy. Secondly, I brought my little sister on a trip to London to visit our other sister and see One Direction at Wembley. Of course I managed to squeeze in a trip to the shops. I love London and this was the first of two trips to London during the summer. You can see some of my London looks here, here and here. […]
