Summer temperatures have hit New York (happy happy happy happy dance!). If you follow me on Snapchat (lcscloset), you’ll have seen I just packed away my winter clothes over the weekend, so this will be the last you’ll be seeing of scarves around here for a little while.
I think one of my favourite things about living in America is the certainty you have with the weather. Ciara and I were chatting about this in Philadelphia last weekend, and it’s one of the things my uncles love most about living here too. The winters can be (and usually are) brutal, but the other 9 months more than make it up for it…

There’s a level of certainty that comes with knowing what to expect from the seasons, which means you can make plans. You can plan fun weekend trips and beach breaks to escape the city, and 99% of the time you’ll get the weather you’re looking for. It might sound like a funny thing, but it’s amazing how much of a difference it makes – especially to a summer lover like me. I absolutely love home and think there is nowhere more beautiful or better to be on a sunny day, but there’s just no guarantee that you’re gonna get sunshine when you want it.
Anyway… Enough about weather! Like I said, I packed away my winter clothes this weekend and although it was an ordeal (how the hell do I have SO MUCH clothes?) I’m happy to see the back of my winter woolies for a few months. Today’s look is another look I did with Boohoo for their More Than Just A Girl campaign (you can find out more in my last blogpost and my first video). I’ve had so many questions about this jacket. It’s suedette, so it’s a lighter not so thick material that’s perfect for this time of year. I love it and as you’ll know from my Snapchat – I’ve hardly taken it off since I got it!
