I can’t believe it’s already been two weeks since my brother’s wedding! I had hoped to get this post published last week, but things were a little crazy to say the least with coming back to New York after my trip home (did you see my Ireland Recap post?) and leaving for San Francisco a few days later (lots from my trips over on Instagram too).

Anywho… It seems like a lot of you guys are on the hunt for wedding outfits as I’ve been getting loads of questions about my dress, and the dresses my mother and sisters wore. I can totally relate to the pain/stress of the wedding outfit hunt. In the run up to the wedding my sisters and I must have shared hundreds of links to dresses to find one we actually liked. Everything we liked was white, which was obviously a BIG no-no, and so the search went on and on… Until the very last minute!

I’m not even exaggerating when I say my outfit was a complete last minute thing. I ordered some pieces online and absolutely hated them when they arrived, so it was back to the drawing board, with no time to order anything before I went home. That’s when I turned to my wardrobe and saw the dress I wore. I got this dress from SheIn way back in January. I had no reason to buy it, but I loved it and it was such a reasonable price, I couldn’t not get it. I had kind of forgotten about it too, until time was really running out, so I said I’d bring this home as my back-up option, but in the end I don’t think I could have worn a more perfect dress…

As it turned out, my mother, sister’s and I all ended up complimenting each other very well with our unintentional colour scheme/floral theme (my floral lace print counts too right?). Most of their dresses are from ASOS – always a reliable go-to! My mother’s gorgeous dress is a Ted Baker number (also available on ASOS) and it’s so stunning in real life. The picture below really doesn’t do it justice.

Just an FYI if you need a wedding outfit ASAP and are thinking about ordering one from SheIn. I absolutely LOVE my dress. It’s a Self Portrait copy and the $40 price tag is literally a 10th of the brands price. $40 is such a bargain for a wedding outfit but you do need to give yourself time when you order from SheIn (about 2-3 weeks), so bare that in mind.

And the bride wore… keep scrolling to catch a glimpse of the fab bride in her gorgeous Pronovias gown. It was so simple, timeless and elegant… I loved everything about it! She bought it in Thistles in Woodquay, Galway. All her jewels were from Cobwebs, Galway.

Finally, I had lots of questions about my make up. The fab Lisa from Lisa Ralph MUA did my make up on the day (she did my mother’s and Emma’s too). Normally I hate getting my make up done because I don’t like my make up to be too heavy. I’ve known Lisa for years and she really listens to what you want, and studies your features and skin before she creates your look. She really is one of the only people I totally trust to do my make up.

p.s. Sorry the quality of the pics aren’t the best. I would love if I had the photographers pictures to share but these things take some time.
