The 2013 Independent Spirit Awards were held in Los Angeles last night and the red carpet style saw everything from bold stripes, delicate florals, LBD’s and colour block. I got the feeling that this was ‘fun’ red carpet and a lot more of an informal event than The Oscars which take place tonight.
I decided to do a post on this event because I thought the style was fantastic. So here are some of my favs.
Kerry Washington
I thought Kerry Washington hit the nail on the head with this beautiful ditsy-print Giambattista Valli Couture sleeveless dress. I loved it, and I also loved how she paired it with Christian Louboutin shoes that have a similar print.
Camila Alves
It’s hard to believe Camilla Alves had a baby less than two months ago. She looked amazing in this deep pink Escada dress. Again… LOVE IT!
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence wore Lanvin and shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti. I want a pair of these shoes so bad! I’ve been looking for a pair for ages but still can’t seem to get a pair. 🙁
Zoe Saldana
Love this look! I think Zoe Saldana got it so right in this bold-striped dress by Dolce and Gabbana.
Nina Dobrev
I love playsuits and I love plated belts so I was always going to be a fan of Nina Dobrev’s Michael Kors look.
Brit Marling
Brit Marling looked ethereal in this sheer white and gold Valentino dress.
Stella Maeve
I haven’t been able to find out who designed this dress (yet) but I love this look.
