Happy Hump Day!
It’s been a crazy busy week so far and tomorrow I am attending the Galway Races for only the second time ever as a patron. I have been to the races every year for the last 10, maybe even 12 years (with the exception of 2008 when I was on my J1) but I was always working with the bookies in the betting ring. I absolutely love the Galway Races and always loved working for them because the atmosphere is electric, but this year I am ready to sit back (or stand in heels) and enjoy Ladies Day. I picked up a headpiece (it’s not as big as I wanted but I do love it) at the very last minute so I’m good to go! Keep an eye for a post in the coming weeks. 😉
Anyway… today’s post! I got these pics as we left Newport after the Newport Queen event. Newport is such a beautiful tourist town. It is often overshadowed by Westport, which is an amazing town and brilliant for a night out, but Newport really has just as much to offer in terms of amazing scenery, lovely locals and tourist attractions. The spot where we shot these pics is my favourite part of the town. It’s the view that greets you when you approach Newport from Castlebar. The two bridges are kinda dramatic and real pretty. As it was the day after the night before I wanted to be comfy so my outfit is just that, casual and comfy. I recently rediscovered this plaid shirt in my wardrobe and it is amazing how much I have worn it since. I am a little bit of a hoarder when it comes to clothes but items like this prove that you can always give your clothes a new lease of life. Although the sun wasn’t shining, it was a really hot and humid day so wearing a crop top was definitely a great shout.
I hope you like it,
p.s. I was back in Newport last week to do the The Great Western Greenway. It was amazing… and I have a quick little post on the experience coming up soon too. 🙂
