New York Life

New City, New Life, New Hair…

Irish Fashion New Hair 1

How was your weekend? The sun is beaming down here in NYC and I’ve had a really great weekend so far. Last night I attended a Boohoo fashion show and I must admit it was really interesting to see an American fashion production. It was completely different to something you’d see in Ireland but it was still great fun. The absolute highlight of my weekend (and I know I am gonna sound so sad admitting this but I don’t care) has to be finding a site with links to watch Downton Abbey that actually work!!!! It literally made my weekend. I am obsessed with Downton and the thought of having to wait until January to watch it over here was killing me. Yesterday was pretty gloomy so I’m gonna take full advantage of today’s sunshine with a stroll around Central Park… I love it there and haven’t been since I moved so it’s gonna be a really relaxing Sunday.

So on to today’s post… In my little NYC update post from earlier this week you might remember I said I had just done something a lil drastic. Well that something drastic was chopping off 6-7 inches of my locks. If you follow me on Instagram (@lcscloset) you may have already seen some of the images I shared of my new do. Was it planned? Heck no!! I went to an amazing salon called Brush on 19st Street between Park and Broadway for a little trim with the lovely Andrea and after a consultation she managed to convince me to chop off my hair. I was definitely in the mood for a change though (maybe not such a drastic change!!) and thought what the heck… why not?! I really love the result and have been told it’s definitely “more New York” by quite a few people. It’s the shortest I’ve had my hair in years… but I’m absolutely loving the new shorter length.

I hope you guys like my new do…

Have a great week,
