It’s Thursday, which of course means the countdown to the weekend is well and truly on! 🙂 It’s a rainy day here in NYC and I’m starting to get a little scared for winter. Everybody has been talking about how horrific it’s going to be. Surely it can’t be that bad?
Anyway, today I wanted to share some quick outfits/events/NYC happens with you. I posted my first look (above) on Instagram (@lcscloset) last week (see it here), so some of you may recognise it?! I wore it last Thursday to explore the East Village and try out the amazingness that is Thompkins Square Bagels. Since I’ve been back in New York I’ve really been trying to find hidden gems that most people who visit New York don’t get to experience. This place is definitely one of them. It’s a bagel lovers dream. The name kinda gives away it’s location…. right off Thompkins Square on Avenue A between 10th and 11th St. I had planned on getting something sweet like their birthday cake cream cheese bagel (see how amazing this stuff looks here) but I was starving when I got there so I went with something savory instead. I will most definitely be back for the birthday cake bagel though…
When we finished stuffing our faces, Erika and I headed uptown to Saks Fifth Avenue for their Sandro Paris event with Danielle from WeWoreWhat. It was so much fun! Champagne, delicious pistachio macaroons and gorgeous clothes (I want one of everything). We even featured on Danielle’s Instagram page!!! 🙂
After the Sandro event I ran home (well not literally, I got the subway) to get changed for another event – Stylight’s US Launch at Root Studios. I’m going to be honest and admit that my outfit (see below for pics and details) isn’t one of my favs. I really hadn’t time to plan or even think about what to wear so I just went with whatever. It was grand though and, as it turned out, it was very well suited to the crowd. Such a jam packed and super fun day. Two days before this I was very down in the dumps, but it’s days like these that really open my eyes to just how lucky I am to be here.
Days like last Thursday and last Sunday too (see here) also made me realise that having a Snapchat account for LC’s Closet would be a really fun way to share my time in NYC with you guys (I also have Erika to thank for encouraging me). So I have now set up a Snapchat account – my username is lcscloset – for you guys to follow along. Add me!! 🙂
