Here are the top 10 beauty trends spotted on the Spring/Summer 2013 catwalks.

1. Attention Grabbing Eyes

It was all about the eyes for spring/summer 2013. This trend was spotted on the catwalk at Chanel (pictured), Dior, Donna Karan, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Topshop Unique and Clements Ribeiro.

2. Enhanced Minimalism

The fewest possible products were used on the catwalk at Balmain to create a genuine “natural” look for this season’s minimalism trend, which is all about a flawless finish.

3. Focus on the Lower Lash Line

Make-up artists were drawn to the lower lash line during the S/S’13 shows. This look appeared on the catwalks of Lanvin, Diane von Furstenberg (pictured), 3.1 Phillip Lim and Christopher Kane where grungy smudged liner was applied beneath the eyes. At Stella McCartney a pop of colour (green) was added to the water line, and at Fendi, coloured fabric strips were placed on the lower lash line to create a look with serious impact.

4. Colour Pop

A vibrant jolt of colour was the stand out make up trend on the catwalks at Giles (pictured), Dries Van Noten, Altuzarra, Michael Kors and Donna Karan.

5. Sixties

There was all-out Sixties beauty at Marc Jacobs (pictured), Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton and Moschino. This look made its mark at all four fashion weeks, proving you can’t go wrong with a Sixties look.

6. Velvet Skin

A powdered matte finish was the desired look at shows including Alexander McQueen (pictured), Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander Wang and so so many more we can’t even list them all.

7. Colour Focus

Pink, in all its different combinations, made its mark on the spring/summer 2013 catwalks. Magenta was the shade of pink on lids and lashes at Donna Karan (pictured), fuchsia was on lips at Giles and Dries Van Noten and bubblegum pink graced the cheeks, lids and lips of the models at Topshop Unique. At Bottega Veneta and Marni, cheeks were flushed with rose shades, and at Chanel girlish shell pink was the choice for lips.

8. Shade of Brown

At Roberto Cavalli (pictured), Alexander Wang and Diane von Furstenberg, shades of brown contoured the eyes and face to give a look of defined, flawless beauty. At House of Holland and Sass & Bide caramel colored eyeshadows were use on the eyes, whilst bronze was the select colour at Gucci and Versace.

9. Fluttery Eyelashes

Full, feminine, fluttery lashes were the eye lash look at Versace, Gucci (pictured), Giorgio Armani and Moschino.

10. Matte Lips

Bright matte lip colours were the trend at Burberry Prorsum (pictured) with velvety scarlet lips, Missoni with bold coral lips and Giles who had vibrant fuchsia lips.
