Hey guys,
I’ve been crazy busy lately attending events and trying to get a lot of things organised for the next few months. I’ve some really exciting things planned and will be sharing some of my plans with you here real soon, so be sure to check back to see what I’m going to be getting up to.
One of the events I attended recently was the Into The West Blogger Network meet-up in Galway. If you follow me on Instagram (@lornaruane) and Facebook you may already have seen some of the pics I shared from the event. The event was organised by two fab ladies, Sinéad Carroll of Yummy Mummy and the extremely talented photographer Saibh Egan, and provided the perfect opportunity to connect with some fellow bloggers from all over Ireland. The Gaslight Bar and Brasserie at the beautiful Meyrick Hotel in the heart of Galway city was the venue for the meet-up. I’d never been in the hotel before and it is everything I expected it to be… a really stunning location, with extremely delicious food and drinks (I’ve shared some snaps below). I’ve a bit of a serious sweet tooth (I love to bake… a lot!) and the little desserts were just amazing. Being a blogger meet-up, of course there was a goodie bag (from McSharry’s pharmacy) for everyone that attended. There was also some special guests, iNailz, who travelled down from Dublin for the day. iNailz are amazing. You can basically get a picture of absolutely anything you can think of on your nails… and I really mean anything. One of the girls got a Kim Kardashian crying face and another got a very fierce looking Beyonce. The time went by so fast and I was so busy mingling that I completely ran out of time to get a set myself. I’ve actually never worn fake nails but it would have been funny to get a pair with something crazy on them. Maybe next time… 🙂
The event was held on a Sunday afternoon, so I went for a casual yet dressed up look. My ripped Topshop jeans have a great casual feel, and this fab statement jacket and my gorgeous and oh-so comfy heels (which are both from Penneys/Primark) were perfect for dressing up my look. As always, I’ve shared all of my outfit details below. I’ve also shared some more pics from the event and a list of all the bloggers that were there on the day.
I hope you like it,
