Today’s look is my second one for Kildare Village’s #DayTripToChic campaign. I recently took a trip to Barna Woods in Galway (some of you may have seen the snap I shared on my Instagram and Facebook) and I captured my trip to share with you here. As I said when I posted my first look for this campaign (from my trip to Cong in Co. Mayo which you can see here), the whole idea behind this campaign is to show the chic outfits worn on day trips to some of the beautiful locations around Ireland (you can also check out the campaign video here).

Like with my first outfit, I hadn’t planned on making a trip to Barna woods. As the sun was shining, we originally planned to take a little trip to Salthill. It was super windy when we got there though, so we thought it was definitely safer to go somewhere else before we got blown away. 😉 My friend suggested Barna Woods and, as neither of us had been before, we decided to go exploring. My outfit probably wasn’t the most practical for a trip to the woods but I love the contrast between the my summer look and the woodland backdrop. It was dry too so my white jeans are still white (yaaaay). You already know that I am loving my white jeans this summer and this is yet another way I’ve been able to style them. I just added a simple white top, a nude blazer I picked up in Primark in London (I feel some serious 80’s vibes with this blazer, minus the shoulder pads thankfully) and these fab nude brogues (do you remember them from this previous post?). I really love these brogues and only wish they were mine. They’re my sisters though, so I’m on the hunt for some of my own. As you can see from the pics, Barna woods are so beautiful, so if you are ever in the area be sure to check them out.
