I have a post with a difference today. I got these Max Factor goodies two weeks ago (you might have seen them on my Instagram?) and really wanted to share my thoughts with you. Sooooooo, today I’m gonna branch into a little bit of beauty.
I got this gorgeous set of Max Factor Gel Shine Lacquer nail polishes (they are part of Max Factor’s Summer 2014 Beauty Collection) and I honestly love them. I already have quite the collection of nail polishes, but sure a few more won’t hurt, especially when the colours are as pretty as these. If I’m being honest, before I tried these out it had been a while since I painted my nails. I really wanted to give them a break from the polish so they’d get stronger and it totally worked. My nails were so strong and healthy but I really missed the instant touch of glamour a good nail polish gives. So far I have worn two of these colours (Radiant Ruby and Twinkling Pink) and I’m very impressed with the results…
In these pictures I’m wearing just one coat of Twinkling Pink. Usually I have to apply two coats of nail polish but the one was more than enough to give a beautiful finish. The polish goes on really well and colour is so vivid and shiny… I luuuurve it! I wore both colours for a few days, did all the normal day-to-day tasks and my nails were still practically perfect! There was one or two tiny chips but nothing too noticable and none of my actual nails chipped or broke at all. My friend tried one of the colours out too and she couldn’t get over how good it was. She works in a bar and was walking around with one perfectly polished nail for days… 🙂 So it’s so far so good with these nail polishes. You know it’s funny… I was finding it hard to choose what polishes I’d take with me to New York, but now I think I’ll just take this set and I’ll be good to go! 🙂
If you’re wondering where you can buy these, you can get them right here from Boots. You can get them in store too. I spotted them yesterday for €8.99 and lucky for you guys, they also happen to have a buy one get one half price offer running at the moment.
Have any of you tried these out? Let me know what you think and I’d love to know if you’d like to see more of these posts in future.
