Waking up on a Thursday, thinking it’s a Saturday isn’t the best way to kick off a day but it’s nearly Friday… whoop whoop!! Maybe I’m too excited for the weekend? Or maybe a just a little too tired? Things are so (CRAZY!) busy at the moment and I have to admit I’m starting to feel completely exhausted! It’s exactly 3 weeks until I head home and the break from New York couldn’t come at a better time. I know I have been on lots of weekend breaks over the summer (Miami, Cape Cod, The Hamptons and Fire Island), but since I started working over here 10 months ago, I haven’t had a proper break. You’re always on the go in New York too (you walk everywhere!), so having a little time out to refresh (and having my car back) will be amazing!
Until then, I have another 2 and half weeks of workwear left. I’m really lucky that I can kinda wear whatever I want to work. I’ve never been a business suit kinda gal, so I tend to stick to my usual style, but some days (and meetings) call for something a little dressier – like today’s look. I picked up this dress (similar here and here) in Zara at the start of the summer and I knew it would come in handy at some stage over the summer. Dresses are so handy! I just had to pop on a simple pair of Boohoo heels, added my signature pop of colour with my bag and I was good to go.
This weekend is Louise and Erika’s last weekend in New York before they head home, so we have a big weekend plan. Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (usernames – lcscloset) to see what we get up to.
Have a great weekend,
Lorna x

This dress is stunning on you! Amazing! Siobhan xx
Great look! I considered striped clothes to be a “sea weekend uniform”)) I never thought of it as of a smart casual style outlook. I’ll try it) I’m of a small height so stripes is what I need)
Lorna, you’ve got nice figure and good taste for clothes!) could you please write a separate blog post on smart-casual style? Some interesting looks for office front desk managers. Thanks)
This outfit is so cute! Since I don’t work a desk job anymore, I would definitely rock this for a lunch date or even a night out with some cool jewelry!
