Stepping Up My Beauty Game

As promised in my New York Truths post, I’m sharing my latest beauty obsession. As much as I hate to admit it, I’m not getting any younger and one or two people have completely freaked me out about the fact I didn’t start using eye cream when I was 18!!

The New York lifestyle doesn’t help either. In my latest NYC Truths post, I spoke about how New York ages you. The days are long, you’re always on the go and the lifestyle can be crazy. A combo that doesn’t do much for the bags under my eyes. This really made me think about the effort I was putting into looking after my skin… And it wasn’t a lot to be totally honest. So one of my mini new year’s resolutions was to beef up my skincare routine and invest in some really good products.

Step 1 was to get better at trying out new beauty products. Step 2 was to start taking care of the dark circles/bags under my eyes. While I may be lagging behind with my main New Year’s resolution (to get more sleep!), I’m very happy to say on I’m track with my beauty goals.

Step 1 is well underway (see my beauty favs here), so to kick off Step 2, I started using the 24k Exclusive Eye Care Collection from Orogold a few months ago. This collection has 3 different products – the Dark Circle Eye Solution (God knows I need this one!!), the Intensive Eye Serum and the Intensive Eye Cream. l’ve been applying all three every night. While I’m not 100% sure if that’s how I’m supposed to use them, they feel amazing when I apply them and I’m loving the results I’ve seen so far. Here’s hoping I’ll be IDed when I’m home in June. 😛
