Kicking Off My Summer

I’m officially kicking off my summer this weekend (in spite of the super gloomy weather). We kicked it off on the exact same weekend last year too with our girls trip to Miami, and I really can’t believe that’s already a year ago? This year I’m kicking it off with something a little different. I’m off to Ohio for the wedding of one of my long time besties.

I’m really excited for this trip because of the wedding of course, and it’s probably not a place I would have the chance to visit if it wasn’t for this special occasion. It also means it’s another state to tick off my list, so I’m well on the way to meeting my new state quota for 2016. 🙂

It’s going to be a jam packed few weeks too. We’re hoping to squeeze in another weekend trip before the busy summer season really starts after Memorial Day. Then there’s Memorial Weekend at the end of May and while we don’t have any plans at the mo, I’m going to have some friends in town, so I’ve no doubt it’ll be a busy/fun one. Let’s not forget the beach. We’ll 1000% be making a few beach trips over the next few weeks…

Then we’re into June and the month is going to absolutely fly because I’m heading home mid month for 9 days. I’m super excited for this trip! It’s for a big family event and I’ll be seeing my brother who lives in Oz for the first time in almost 4 years. It’s crazy to believe it’s been that long, but time flies and it’s hard when we both live so far away from home. This will also be the first time all 10 of us (yes, I’m one of 10 for anyone who doesn’t know) have been together in 6 years, so I’m sure there’ll be a snap or two here and there. 😉

A quick chat about my outfit in today’s post. I think I’ve professed my love for white jeans on more than one occasion! I just love how they brighten up your wardrobe, especially at this time of year, and they literally look good with every colour! This pair are the latest addition to my wardrobe. I picked them up in Primark when I was in Boston last month and as always, Primark denim doesn’t disappoint! I’m a huge fan of Primark jeans. They seem to suit me and you really can’t go wrong with the price. I also got my stripe top while I was in Boston, and paired with my new lace up flats from Boohoo and my beloved Michael Kors bag (did you see the story behind why I have this bag?), I think it makes for the perfect spring look. 🙂
