Going Home For Christmas

This winter in New York has been really funny. This time last year it was absolutely freezing (ripped jeans were completely out of the question), and this year we barely need to wear a jacket. My head is still telling me it’s December, so I am forcing myself to wear a coat and scarf just to be on the safe side. This camel coat is perfect for this weather. It’s not too heavy, so I know I won’t pass out on the subway (always a good thing)!

So today is my Friday. I’m heading home for Christmas tomorrow and I am super super SUPER excited!! I love/am obsessed with Christmas. It’s my absolute favourite time of year (sorry summer – you’re a close second), but this year I am even more excited because it will be my first Christmas at home since 2012!! Last year I spent Christmas in New York and the year before that I was in Australia, so a Christmas at home is well overdue! There really is no place like at home at this time of the year.

If you follow me on Snapchat (username: lcscloset), you’ll know I’ve been doing my level best to get in Christmas spirit over the last few weeks in New York. Of all the decorations, I think the plaza has to be my favourite!! The giant wreaths hanging from all the windows and around the doors are amazing (did you see this Instagram snap?), and I honestly wish I could take them home!

I still can’t believe I’m heading home tomorrow!! Where did this year go?
