Happy hump day guys and say hello to the latest addition to my wardrobe… This gorgeous (if I do say so myself) long line black blazer from Zara. It may be the newest addition to my wardrobe but it’s a piece I’ve had my eye on for the longest time. Well about 6 months to be exact.
I spotted this in my favourite Zara store in New York (the Bryant Park one in case you’re wondering) last April and it was love at first sight. However, with a price tag of $100, it was working out a hell of a lot more expensive than Zara at home (what’s new there though?), so I didn’t buy it right away. As I was going home in June, I had a grand plan to order it online on the Irish site and just bring it back with me in June. Of course I never got round to ordering it aaaaand it sold out! DEVO!!!!
I broke one of my own golden rules of shopping (I have a few rules but that’s for a whole other post) – If you can’t stop thinking about it, you know you need to have it. I usually do live by this rule. Well 99% of the time – I mean I’ve been thinking about that Chanel handbag for about 10 years, but a gals gotta keep it real. Seriously though, are you ever a little indecisive about something and decide to sleep on it? Well for me if I’m still thinking about it that night or the next day, then I know it needs to be in my life.
Anyway, to make a long story short… I walked into Zara last weekend, and can you imagine my delight when I saw this beauty in there? Of course I whipped it right up and left the store one very happy camper 6 months after I’d first clapped eyes on it.
I got a lot of questions about it too, so it seems a lot of you like it just as much as I do. Unfortunately it looks like this exact one is sold out but I have found some really similar and equally as gorgeous options that I’ve shared in the super handy widget thingy below. My favourite is definitely this Reiss one. It’s a little on the pricier end though, but this Topshop one or this Missguided one are just as fab.
Hope you’re having a good week,
