Hey guys… Long time no blog post! I’m getting organised to go home this weekend (eeeeeeks!!!) and have had a lot of visitors over the past few weeks, so life has been a little hectic to say the least. I can’t even describe how happy I am to be heading home for 2 weeks. I’ve really been feeling the distance over the past few weeks and can’t wait to get back to see my family and friends (and eat/see/do all of the things I miss about home too).
Anywho, today’s blog post is all about my obsession with my basket bag. If you follow me on my social channels, you’ll know I bought one a few weeks ago and I am probably too obsessed. Currently my biggest struggle is figuring out if it’ll be a bit too big to bring on the plane with me this weekend?? I think I’m gonna chance it though – How very Jane Birkin of me!!
The are lots of basket bags out there for summer, but I had my eye on one very specific type – The basket bag made famous/fashionable/desirable by the one and only afore mentioned Jane Birkin. Also know as the Birkin basket bag. I somehow started reading all about Jane Birkin’s style a few months ago and all of a sudden felt like I NEEDED a Birkin Style basket bag. It took some time but I finally found the perfect one in Free People a few weeks ago. It was love at first sight and I plan on wearing it everywhere.
