Happy Monday guys! If you follow me on my social channels, you might know I was at a fab wedding in Sligo over the weekend. The wedding was in Strandhill and Markree Castle, so when I was on the hunt for my outfit I knew it needed to be castle worthy.
I actually ended up ordering just 2 dresses and loved both of them. But the clear winner was the deep burgundy ASOS Premium dress I wore over the weekend (the other dress was also an ASOS Premium number). I just adore the details (that sleeve!!!!!) and it fits like a glove!! I did have to do a little bit of altering to avoid having an Angelina moment, so I bought some lace and mother dearest put her expert sewing skills to work to add a little panel in. To be honest, I could have probably got away with the dress as it was, but personally I was more comfortable with the extra piece added.

My sisters dress was also from ASOS. It’s by Jarlo – the same brand she wore to my cousins wedding last month (see all the dresses my family wore in this post). Their dresses are gorgeous and perfect for a wedding. She wore it slightly different than on the model, so you can mix it up and wear it whatever way works for you. Fun fact – I actually had my eye on this dress but thought it was a little too similar to the dress I wore to my brother’s wedding in Oz earlier this year.
My friend Áine’s dress is from Closet London. It’s such a classy dress, and it did have a hidden slit too to show a little bit of leg.
