Ballon Sleeve Red Chunky Knit Sweater
Happy Thursday guys! I’m gonna be totally honest and say this week feels like it has literally been going on FOREVERRRRRRRRRRR. I kept thinking yesterday was Thursday too… Is there anything worse than thinking it’s nearly the weekend and realising it’s still only hump day?
Anywho, today’s blog post is all about the most festive of colours, THE colour of this A/W and possibly the piece of this season – Red chunky knitwear.
I picked up 2 pieces while I was at home and I am fully obsessed with this balloon sleeve Topshop sweater. Now I know you probably wouldn’t think it because I don’t wear that much Topshop anymore, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Topshop. It’s so extortionately overpriced in the US (so I tend to shop in Zara more now) but make no mistake about it, I am a Topshop girl through and through!!
Back to the post! Red is HUGE this A/W and I, for one, am very happy about it. I love red and I really do love wearing colour. I don’t know why, but with life in New York I always seem to be drawn to white and black. It’s easy to wear and throw an outfit together when you’re in a hurry, but I wanna get back to my more colourful roots (if you’ve been following me from day 1 you’ll know what I mean). So over the next few weeks I am determined to inject more colour into my wardrobe. Watch this space!
I’m kicking it off today by sharing 3 ways to style your red chunky knitwear. I’ve actually had this blog post idea since I was back home in Ireland (when I wore so much colour for a month and loved it!). Now here I am (like 6 weeks later?) finally getting around to posting it. I’ve already got so much wear out of this sweater and it hasn’t even got properly cold yet! The quality is amazing, it fits like a glove and it’s so so easy to style. Here are just 3 of the ways I’ve styled it to date…
