Happy Friday!! It’s been a while since I’ve shared a Friday Five (life has kinda taken over) but I’m happy to say they’re back. If you follow me on Snapchat you’ll know I’m still at home and you may have seen I’ve done some damage to my bank account buying new bits while I’ve been here (I still have another week left too).
To be honest I probably picked the most dangerous month shopping wise to be home. September is hands down my favourite month for shopping. The stores always have THE BEST bits in September as transitional mode gets into full swing. It’s kinda like my Christmas equivalent for outfit shopping and I just love it!!
As I’ve been home for the past few weeks I’ve really had a chance to embrace sweater weather and I am absolutely loving it. I think one of my favourite things about this transitional time of year is how I can wear both my summer and autumn/fall wardrobes. It’s so much fun playing with outfits, layering summer bits and just mixing and matching everything!! And every year I find myself relying on the same key pieces to make the transition seamless. So today I thought I’d share those key pieces with you in the handy widgets below.
I actually did a post similar to this last year too. You’ll see that only one of my essentials has changed (I’ve become more of a blazer lady in the past year) but I thought there was no harm in doing an undated version with all the latest bits available online. Apologies in advance for any damage I may cause to your bank account, but at least you’ll be looking FAB-U-LOUS!
Black Boots
The ultimate wardrobe essential in my eyes. They go with everything and make every outfit look so polished. I just treated myself to a new pair I’m totally obsessed with and 100% don’t need, but I firmly believe a gal can never too many pair of black booties.

A Blazer
Like I said, the true blazer love has developed over the past year. I’ve always had blazers in my wardrobe but it’s only since I picked up a fab black one that I really see the value in them. My latest blazer is this black blazer with pearl button detail I picked up in River Island in Dublin this week. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement!! The pictures don’t even do it justice.
