Pink Prints

Happy Wednesday guys,

The (extra) long weekend is almost here… eeeek! I am really excited about Easter this year because it is the first Easter in about 10 years that I haven’t had to study for exams or worry about doing my Ph.D., so I plan on having a super relaxing and fun weekend. 🙂 If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, you may have already had a sneak peek of my latest outfit. It’s a real summery look and is just perfect for the long weekend, especially with the great weather we have been having this week. My skort and top are both from John Lewis. I actually couldn’t believe the amazing selection of brands and items in the John Lewis Spring/Summer 2014 Collection!  As I am sure you know by now, I am a major fan of skorts. I love shorts in general so shorts that look like a skirt were always gonna be a winner for me! I love the colour of this one! It is perfect for spring/summer and I really like how the design is different to most other skorts on the market (and in my wardrobe)! They also fit like a glove, which I always look for in clothes. I really think fit is so important. I love the print of this top and the capped sleeves. Capped sleeves are super flattering and really dressy, so they are great for both going out and for a smart work wardrobe. The quality of this top is also amazing, but what I like most about this look is how the skort brings out the touches of pink in the top. To complete the look, I added some strappy black sandals, a black handbag and some simple pieces of gold jewellery. I’ve really taken to keeping my  jewellery very simple lately but I love how it looks.
