Floral Prints – Xposé Magazine May 2014

Did you all enjoy the long weekend? Doesn’t the week just fly by after a bank holiday?

Today I want to show you the latest look I styled for Xposé Magazine’s blogger feature. The theme this month is floral prints. I loved this theme because I associate bright floral prints with summer, so I really wanted this look to have a real summery feel. I absolutely love this floral print skirt. It’s a little short but the print and colours are fab! I must admit I raided my sisters wardrobe for this skirt and it’s not because I don’t have any floral clothes myself, I just love it! She picked this up in Forever 21 in Manila while she was travelling in the Philippines in January. I haven’t come across it on this side of the world so maybe it was exclusive to Asia? 😉 To pick up on some of the colour in this skirt, I wore it with this capped sleeve pink top. I’ve told you guys before how much I love this style top. I think it’s formal enough for work wear but dressy enough to dress up and wear with any outfit. I also wore emerald pendant statement necklace (that you have seen before here and here) to pick up on more of the colours in the skirt. I think it really pops with the pink top. To complete the look, I wore a black bag, black shoes and some gold accessories.
