This is my last #DayTripToChic look for Kildare Village’s campaign (check out the campaign video here). On this day trip I headed to one of my favourite places in Mayo… Westport! I absolutely love Westport! Day or night, you’re always guaranteed to have something to do. Westport is super pretty too and it has so many cute little cafes to relax in as you watch the world go by. It’s regularly voted the tidiest town in Ireland and, as it has so much to offer, it’s really popular with tourists. I’ve mentioned before that it’s a really great town for a night out. The restaurants are amazing here and it definitely has some of the best nightlife in the west of Ireland…
I’ve been making day trips to Westport for as long as I can remember. It’s only a 30 minute drive from my house, so it’s the perfect place to go to chill out. When I was growing up, I always remember my parents bringing us to Westport on a Sunday and no trip would be complete without taking a spin to Croagh Patrick, making a trip in around Westport House and then stopping off for a ’99 ice cream cone in McGreevy’s before we went home. McGreevy’s definitely have THE best ’99’s in Ireland, so of course I had to make sure I got one (I shared a snap of this beauty on Instagram and Facebook 😉 ).
For this look I wore pieces that have all featured on the blog before. I’m sure you have noticed my white jeans have been a complete staple in my summer wardrobe this year. I’ve worn them ALOT and I’m sure you’ll see them through autumn too because I’m not ready to pack them away just yet. You also saw this oversized striped top when I wore it here as a dress. I really love having pieces like this in my wardrobe because you can wear them in so many different ways. I still love my pinks shoes as much, if not more, as the day I bought them (see them worn here and here too)… I’m on the hunt for a back-up pair and really hope Penneys will get them over here before I move to New York in a few weeks. My bag is one of the newest additions to my wardrobe (did you see it here in my last post?) I love the colour and it’s a really great size for an evening to night bag. As always, I finished the look off with some gold jewellery and sunnies.
I hope you guys like it,
