Irish Fashion Instatruth 1

Are you all having a good weekend? I had quite an eventful week of mainly ups and a few downs, topped off by spending yesterday pumpkin carving with my little cousins (yes I am a big child!). I am loving all of the halloween decorations over here… it’s such a novelty. Anyway… I’ll update you guys on what’s been going on later this week.

For today I want to share a more humorous post. Last Sunday was a breathtakingly beautiful day in NYC. We had a day of uninterrupted clear blue skies and I headed off to Dumbo in Brooklyn to meet some friends. I’m sure you know by now that I LOVE Instagram (be sure to check out my account @lornaruane), so naturally I had to capture some snaps to share (I’ve told you guys before about how snap happy I am – I just can’t resist). While I was trying capture the perfect snap I had no idea I was being caught on a kind of Candid Camera with my friend Aine taking pics of me as I was snapping away. I got such a laugh when I saw the pic below because it really shows the (unglamourous, squinty eyed, scrunched nosed) truth behind Instagram pics. You can check out the results of all of my effort below too and I’ve also shared a few more snaps from the day.

Just to share some outfit details… Apart from my scarf, you’ve seen everything I am wearing here before. I really love this F&F cardi and know it will come in so handy when the cold sets in (I’m really not looking forward to that). Scroll down for my outfit details and I hope you like the pics.

Have a great week,

p.s. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up-to-date with my day-to-day NYC adventures. 🙂
