Irish Fashion New York Weekend 2

Happy Wednesday! I am back today with what has kinda unexpectedly became a weekly blog update. I manage to pack so much into my weekends here (and take about 20 million pictures – not even exaggerating!) and I just love creating these posts to look back at what I got up to. I know New York is a really popular destination for people from all over the world, so hopefully my adventures will prove helpful for one or two of you. 🙂

I started a new job (with a fashion brand – YAAAY) on Monday and last weekend was just perfect for preparing me for this new start. If you follow me on Instagram or my new Snapchat account (add me at lcscloset) you will probably have seen I spent Saturday in Williamsburg with a few of the girls. It was my first time in Williamsburg and it’s kinda amazing there. The weather was perfect and the view of Manhattan was literally something you’d expect to see on a postcard.

My favourite thing about the weekend is of course brunch and we went to a great little place in Williamsburg called Cafe Mogador. The brunch was unbelievably delicious. After brunch we strolled through the Artisan market and on to Smorgsburg food market. This place is a foodie’s (aka myself and Erika’s) dream. Unfortunately, we left it a little late to get some treats (we were stuffed after brunch) and most of the stalls were gone, so instead we treated ourselves to some macaroons in The Bakeshop by Whoops. Not a bad substitution. They have nutella cookies and a few different types of nutella macaroons… SOOO GOOD!

(I borrowed two of these pics from Erika and Audrey… thanks girls 😉 )

Sunday was completely different. I had lunch with my uncle in The Kinsale Tavern and then strolled downtown through Central Park to get some froyo (my sweet tooth is starting to get a little crazy!). Central Park was looking so amazing that I just had to make a second trip… and boy am I glad did. The colours of the sky and the trees were out of this world… it was one of those things that had to be seen to be believed. Central Park is the perfect place to spend a nice relaxing day and you really never know what you’re gonna see. I saw three weddings and even spied Big Bird and Minnie Mouse hanging out on a bench (check it out here)… too funny and I love it! As always, you can find my outfit details below.

Hope you enjoyed reading about my weekend. I can’t wait to see what I get up this weekend,

p.s. You might have noticed that I kinda love Instagram?! I just wrote a complete guide to mastering Instragram for Learn Inbound. Check it out and happy Instagramming. 🙂
