If you saw my last post or my Instagram you will know I had my graduation last week. It was such a great day but it absolutely flew. After all those years of working towards this day I felt a little cheated because it went so fast and I really didn’t get to wear my robe for that long. I always love wearing graduation robes (this was my third graduation), as I think they make you feel so accomplished. This was the first time my robe was red though (it was the traditional black robe for my other two), so it was extra special. The hat is also different and, although people always make fun of it, it is a requirement that you wear it. I will admit that I actually kinda liked the hat in the end. It can be adjusted so it was super snug! I absolutely LOVED my outfit. As I explained in my last post, I bought my dress months ago and was so happy to finally wear it. I wanted to add some colour with my shoes and I think the blue gives a nice contrast with the red robe. The blue shoes also meant that I still had a pop of colour without the robe. I added some simple statement pieces of gold jewellery and this amazing gold clutch to complete the look. Unfortunately I didn’t get pics without the robe. Like I said, the day just flew and I didn’t have time. I will definitely wear this dress again though, so I’ll be sure to get some then.
I loved my hair and make-up too. I rarely get my hair or make-up done, so it was a real treat. I got my hair done in Redz Hair Design and I went to Chique Skin Care and Beauty to get my make-up done. They were both so perfect and exactly what I wanted. You can’t see it with the hat but my hair was done in a half up-half down style, which was perfect because the hat didn’t mess with it at all.
I absolutely love the pics I got on the day. The quad in NUI Galway is so beautiful and such a great setting for pictures. My only wish is that I had taken more. 🙂
p.s. There’s still time to enter my Giveaway so make sure you do. 🙂

This post is so fun! I just graduated as well, and spent many an hour trying to decide the perfect shoes, nail polish colour… you name it. It’s such a memorable occasion that I think it’s nice to be able to style the gown and then love the photos afterward!
