Happy Hump Day,
It’s back to reality in a big way for me this week. If you follow me on Snapchat and Instagram (usernames – @lcscloset), you’ll know my sister and her boyfriend were visiting me over the last week and half. So of course I was in full on tourist mode and loving it!! I don’t think I’ll ever tire of being a tourist in New York (or anywhere if I’m being honest). In fairness to them, they packed everything in (most of the things on my fav New York things to for free list) and it was the perfect excuse for me to explore some new parts of the city – like Top of the Rock!!
We also tried out some of my favourite brunch and coffee spots, a few secret bars and I think I found my new favourite restaurant in the whole of New York – Móle (hubba hubba – my mouth is watering just typing that). I booked a few days off work too, so we had a little road trip to Boston and Newport in Rhode Island (blog post is in the works), which was just fab. I love New York but it’s great to get a little breather every now and again. I genuinely think it makes you even more excited come back.
Now that I’m back to reality, the struggle of dressing for work in spring is well and truly real. As always, I think keeping it simple with some good monochrome essentials is key (everyone needs the perfect pair of black trousers and breton stripe top in their life). I’ve started to replace my winter coats with this light Boohoo trench (similar here and here) and although the weather is all over the place right now, it’s making me so unbelievably excited for summer.
Hope you’re having a fab week,
